Swim Down // Moose Blood
If you are struggling tonight, please be kind to the body that holds you and be mindful of the heart within you. I know of that kind of suffering, the kind that gets stuck in your throat, that cannot make anything but guttural pleas, the kind of nothing that consumes you, and convinces you that help is beyond what you need. It’s not easy to hold so many feelings, maybe that is why you drown them out sometimes, maybe that is why you crave oceans so much so that you can blend in with its whirlpools, drown into nothing but wave after wave after wave of emotion. And I know you want to do all sorts of horrible things, because even they will clean you of the dirty you feel under your skin. But please don’t. Please remember that you are still here, that you can still feel, that this is a bottomless pit and you can keep falling, but I hope that is the last thing you do. If you are struggling tonight, know that there is love for you, even if it doesn’t seem like it. Know that there is reason for you to exist, that this world depends on it. Know that there is too much wrong on this planet but you being here is one thing it has right. I can’t tell you what to do about the hurt, I can’t say when it will stop, but I promise that you are strong enough to see it through, and this suffering does not have to destroy you.
If you are struggling tonight, please– (via ink-trails)
